  • Gambling for US players

The joys of winning and succeeding in everything we do make us feel part of something special.  It is somehow a good channel for us to spend our time and attention, and gives us a sense of achievement that becomes the source of our happiness.  For some, this kind of accomplishment comes from the socially accepted convention of exchanging assets through games, also known as gambling.
When we say gamble, we put something on the line; something of importance, of value, or something that can be exchanged for a particular price.  We hold games in which these valuables are at stake, and whoever attains the objective of the game wins, hence, the prize.  It is in winning these prizes that we get a sense of fulfillment, especially when the prizes are very high.  And at times when we have a lot to win, we even strive harder to get it.  This boosts our confidence, and greatly affects our enthusiasm in involving ourselves in games that are not just fun, but from which we also get something that is precious.
If gambling teaches us one lesson, it is this: we can only get what we really want if we know how to learn to take risks, and at the same time face the consequences that come with it.
